Jakarta - Bandung - Puncak Trip (June 2008)

A post which i wanted to write since ages ago but just didn't bother. Ahaha at first when i just created this blog, hangat-hangat tahi ayam, like Veron said. Look what has happened now! Lol practically dead and eventually rose up once in awhile. Ahh well, just bare with me :)

I couldn't really remember much how my itinerary was, but roughly, looking back at the pictures i've got i can figure out something i hope. :D Buahahaha okay, well this Indonesia trip is another Tourism Trip organized by our beloved Mr. Ha! It's our first overseas trip so we're very excited! Besides we heard about how cheap the stuffs are there :)

I remembered our flight was delayed, we board the plane almost 1am when it is suppose to be around 10pm if i'm not mistaken? Sadly, every trip Ai Chen made it except this one. But it's okay, we did get some nice souvenirs for her. Kelly finally joined this trip!

That's me, Ting and Kelly :)

These are called 'Nasi Padang'. It's very famous around Indonesia, mostly in Jakarta. Basically they served VERY spicy food. I shall remind you once again. VERY, i mean VERY spicy food. They served a lot of fried birds. There was one time, i accidentally ate the real small and green cilipadi, i was almost choked to death! Goodness the pain, i had 3 cups of ice water, 3 cups of mango juice, 3 cups of ice, nothing can stop that terrible feeling. I shall always remember that moment.

These are known as 'Sundanese' food. Very famous in the area of Bandung. It's a much nicer type of food compare to 'Nasi Padang', very similar to Chinese style. They served many different kind of fishes and it tasted scrumptious!

This bowl of noodles is known as 'Mee Bak-so'. One of the trademark food in Indonesia. As far as i remember, the noodles are just normal, but the meatballs were tasty! Normally, it is served with a sweet soya sauce dip.

As you can see in the banner, 'Sate Kambing and Sop Kambing'. This little road-side stall just outside our hotel serves unbelievably tasty lamb satay and soup! Goodness how i missed it!

One of the nights, Ting, Kelly, Mr. Ha and I went to a Japanese Restaurant for supper. Yes, supper :P Here are some pictures:

Salmon, anyone?

Fried seafood udon :)

Teriyaki Chicken

Just found this picture. The place is called 'Sushi Hana'. Obviously. Buahaha :P

Us =D

We also visited an old-no-more-existing-volcano-site, called 'Tengkuban Perahu'. The view was breath-taking and mesmerizing.

There, one big happy family :)

Here goes some random pictures we snapped:

Menara Monas, the landmark of Jakarta

Called 'tuk-tuk'

Ahh that sums up my whole journey. It was indeed a memorable one. :)

Blessed!

Ahh...i'm in UK. Duh~ Hehe it's like...just yesterday i was deciding where to persue my studies and here i am. After all those preparations, seems really hard to believe i'm actually here. The first person i'd like to offer my thanks to is God...because He has blessed me endlessly and He's the reason i'm here! Secondly my family for their never ending support and love. Never forget my friends who hold special place in my heart, you know who you are :)

Well my flight here was tiring, transit at Singapore for almost 11 hours! Goodness, den flight to London was 14 hours. The flight was shaky and the seats were small. Flight from London to Newcastle was short and just nice. When we got out of the airport, wow the wind! Ahh it's really cold! It's the first time we experience winter boh. :P

That's me, Amy, Fong Ling and Li Joo in front of Newcastle Airport. Once arrived at my house, we were shocked cuz the bathroom and kitchen were so dirty! Apparently my room and the smallest room seems to be the cleanest...and we find it the prettiest. Thank God! :) I've got some not-so-good pictures on my room but i'll just post it up lah :P Hehe

That's my messy table.

That's my messy bed.

That's my cupboard and pretty panty. WAHAHA

The landlord got the toilet and kitchen cleaned up, so it's clean now. Housemates and i has been cooking almost everyday. I've got no pictures on kitchen but yeah, here's my toilet!

I've experienced snow the first time in life! Ahh pretty little thing. But it's too cold and quite slippery.

That's the starting of snow. All of us ran outside the house. It's freaking cold so we quickly snap some pictures. Hehe

Okay, I'm really lazy to type more. To sum everything up, I'm doing good here. Though i miss home and love ones back there, it's not as bad as i've expected. I'll update more some other time. :) When i get internet connection at my new home. Hehe

Ahh that's bout it. Bye for now :)

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on th way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I'm Free!

At last, my training has come to an end. 3 months of waking up so early, walking to endless banks, obeying every single orders...ahhh! Such a nice feeling it's over! Thank God for giving me patience to cope with all I've been through.

When i first joined, I was in such bad shape that every night when i reached home, I was really moody. I was treated like an office girl, photostating and faxing documents away to glory. Walking to Public Bank, CIMB Bank, Maybank, Standard Charted Back, OCBC Bank, Silk Air office, Tun Jugah Jee Kwong (just because the tauke always purchase ticket from us), even HASIL to renew Trade License for my company. At first I'm really pissed. But day after day, i realized that it's nice to get out of office to get some fresh air. To forget bout office for awhile.

Just about 2 weeks of that, my boss started to give me proper tasks. Like writting letters to agents and visa embassies, preparing powerpoint presentations on various countries, picking up phone calls, consulting customers, checking tour packages...and so on. This is the training i should be getting. Oh ya, my working hours were from 8.30 am to 6.15 pm with an hour break in between. It was freaking long and draggy. Doing all these new tasks doesn't mean i'm not the same old office girl again. But day after day, I'm used to it. Emotionally, i got better and adapting to it.

Just 2 weeks before ending my training, my colleagues started to be really good to me. Buying me food and teaching me more things. I'm bonded and got closer with them. The last day, i bought all of them gifts and they were all surprised and feeling so bad. Eheh a colleague gave me a gift and a few of them treated me meals. It was really sweet.

Generally, i've learnt a lot in this 3 months. I believe it has shaped me into a better person. Thank God for everything, really.
Well i'm suppose to post this up like, a month ago but...i was way too busy with so many things and my laziness is to be blamed as well. :P
Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year with many happy returns!
